Board Meeting Staff Recognition
The LVJUSD Board of Education recognized Trisha Jensen, Kid Connection provider at Smith Elementary, for her dedication to supporting students' social and emotional development.
Principal Marni Angelo honored Trisha for creating a safe and supportive environment where students build confidence, develop essential life skills, and feel seen and valued. Her work helps students grow both in school and beyond.
2026 District Spelling Bee Winners
Congratulations to our 2026 District Spelling Bee winners!
Waaris Ubhi from Smith Elementary took first place in the Grades 4-6 competition, and Sanjith Chidambaram from Mendenhall Middle School won the Grades 7-8 competition.
We are proud of these outstanding students for their hard work, dedication, and impressive spelling skills.

Smith Elementary is a recipient of the 2025 PBIS Gold Implementation Award. Way to go, Cougars!
